Today the eighth-largest city in Macedonia, Ohrid is a popular tourist destination. Its location on the scenic lake and its numerous churches make it a favourite hotspot in summer.

According to legend, Ohrid once boasted no less than 395 chapels and churches, more than one for each day of the year.

Both the city and the lake have been UNESCO Cultural and Natural World Heritage Sites since 1980. The city has a rich story to tell, dating back to the medieval ages.

Creo que ya no se llaman Macedonia.....
